KMU set to launch hospital and research centre
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Medical University (KMU) is set to launch a state-of-the-art KMU Hospital & Research Centre in Peshawar, where patients will have access to quality healthcare and advanced diagnostic facilities.
The hospital is expected to be a valuable addition to healthcare services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly in the provincial capital, where the three tertiary care hospitals , Lady Reading Hospital, Khyber Teaching Hospital and Hayatabad Medical Complex , remain overburdened with patients seeking routine medical care that should ideally be available in peripheral areas.
The KMU has built the hospital from its own resources. Since the KMU Hospital & Research Centre shares boundary walls with the Peshawar Institute of Cardiology, the two institutions will work in close coordination to better facilitate patients.
