Pak-Saudi defence pact a guarantee for peace in region: Khattak
NOWSHERA: Advisor to Prime Minister on Interior Affairs Pervez Khattak said on Sunday that Pakistan-Saudi Arabia defence cooperation was a guarantee of lasting peace in the region.
During a visit to Nizampur, Pervez Khattak said that the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia defence ties were historic but the new defence pact added another feather to the already friendly and brotherly relations between the Muslim countries.
He added that this cooperation was not only vital for the security of both nations but also a milestone for regional peace and stability. He said that this partnership would directly benefit the people, and in the future, Pakistan-Saudi relations would grow even stronger.
The PM advisor also praised the security forces for foiling all the hostile designs against Pakistan’s national security. “India’s policy of spreading unrest in the region has failed miserably, and Pakistan is now emerging as the true flag-bearer of peace, development and prosperity in the region,” he said.
He added that friendship with China, along with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and joint projects, would not only make Pakistan economically self-reliant but also bring a revolution in the fields of employment, industry, and energy.
According to him, Pakistan will soon emerge as a major economic hub, with Saudi Arabia and China playing a key role in this transformation.Pervez Khattak criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, saying it had failed miserably in solving public issues.
“Unemployment and mismanagement are at their peak in the province, while the health and education sectors are in a state of decline,” he said, adding that instead of providing relief to the people, the provincial government was relying only on statements and promises.Development projects in the province, he claimed, were moving at a slow pace, while employment opportunities were not being created and the youth were falling into despair.
