Girls shine as BISE DI Khan announces HSSC results

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The girl students secured the top positions as the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Dera Ismail Khan announced the results of the FA/FSc Annual Examination 2025 on Wednesday.

The result was announced at a ceremony with City Mayor Sardar Umar Amin Khan Gandapur as the chief guest. In first year, out of 16,791 candidates, 11,618 were declared passed, with a success rate of 69.19percent. In the second year, out of 16,294 candidates, 13,688 passed the examination, with a success rate of 84.01percent.

In the overall results, Dua Zainab of Iqra Science School and College, Paharpur, clinched the first position by scoring 1154 marks. Mustabshira Miftah of Leads School and College secured the second position with 1145 marks, while Dua, a student of Qurtuba Public School and College and daughter of Vice- Principal Gul Nawaz Awan of Government Higher Secondary School No. 2 Islamia, stood third with 1144 marks.

In pre-engineering, Noor Fatima of Leads College secured 1122 marks to snatch first position and Amjad Ullah (Cadet College Spinkai South) secured second position with 1111 marks while Muhammad Shamees (Cadet College Wana) grabbed third position with 1110 marks.

In General Science group, Nuzhat Fatima (Iqra School Paharpur) secured first position with 1141 marks; Usama Khan (Cadet College Spinkai South) came second with 1130 marks while Muhammad Waleed (Cadet College Spinkai South) grabbed third position with 1129 marks.In Arts Group, Muhammad Jawad Ali Khan (Government Higher Secondary School No. 1 Paharpur) secured 1043 marks; Jameela Sadia (Government Girls Higher Secondary School Paharpur) got second position with 1018 marks while Naila Shah (Government Girls Degree College Tank came third with 1015 marks.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mayor Umar Amin Gandapur praised the efforts of teachers and parents, saying, “This success is the result of dedicated teachers and the prayers of parents. These students are the future of our region and will continue to bring pride to Dera Ismail Khan.”

He also highlighted reforms in the education sector, noting that despite operating from a rented building, the DI Khan board is moving towards digitalization. He assured that the dream of a new building equipped with modern facilities would soon be realized.

Chairman Prof Dr Ihsanullah, Secretary Dr Qayyum Nawaz and Controller of Examinations Dr Qaiser Anwar also addressed the gathering, emphasizing transparency in the marking process and appreciating the role of education officers, school heads, and teachers in ensuring fair results.
