Two police vehicles, car torched in Lower Dir

TIMERGARA: Militants allegedly set on fire three vehicles, including two police mobiles and a car, in the Lajboak area of Balambat tehsil in Lower Dir district on Monday.
The militants made an announcement through the loudspeaker of a mosque in Lajboak, around 20 kilometers from the district headquarters Timergara, asking the public to remain indoors and stay away from what they described as a war being waged only against the government.There were reports of an exchange of fire between police and the militants as well. However, no information about casualties was available till the filing of this report.
