13 mineral water brands declared unfit for human consumption

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Council of Research for Water Resources (PCRWR) has found 13 brands of bottled mineral water unsafe for drinking due to chemical contamination. According to a public awareness statement issued by PCRWR on Tuesday, these brands include Aquwa Plus, New Nation, Osam, Well care, Royal Oasis, Blue Plus, Livon, Al-Habib, Aqua National, Nation, Naimat, Siiz Cool and Royal Blue. Drinking water quality is deteriorating continually due to biological contamination from human waste, chemical pollutants from industries and agricultural inputs.
