2 killed in scrap shop blast in Lower Dir
TIMERGARA: Two persons were killed and three others sustained injuries when a hand-grenade suddenly went off at a scrap shop at Khall Bazaar in Lower Dir district on Saturday, Rescue 1122 officials said.
Those who lost their lives as a result of the explosion were identified as Roidad Khan, the owner of the shop, and Aminullah, a labourer, both residents of Kandarokhe. The injured, stated to be all passers-by, included Islam Sher, a resident of Adokikhel, Zahid Shah and Haroon, both residents of Gul Dheraikhel.
The rescue officials shifted the bodies and the injured to Rural Health Centre (RHC) Khall and District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Timergara. Condition of one injured is stated to be critical who has been referred to a hospital in Peshawar for treatment.
