20 peacocks die of Newcastle disease in Thar

THARPARKAR: At least 20 peacocks have died and more than two dozen others affected by the deadly Newcastle disease in Thar during the last couple of days. The deaths were reported from the Mithi area where local sources complained they failed to contact the wildlife officials due to the Eid holidays and feared that the death toll would increase. Hundreds of peacocks have died after being affected by the Newcastle virus in Tharparkar.
