Govt to ensure peace at all costs, says CM Bugti
QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has said that state institutions in Balochistan are working with full coordination and commitment to restore peace.
He emphasised that the sacrifices of security forces and the public will not go in vain, and the government will ensure peace at all costs.
A high-level meeting on law and order, chaired by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, was held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Saturday. The session reviewed the overall security situation in the province, the ongoing operations and the performance of law enforcement agencies.
The meeting was attended by senior officials including IG Frontier Corps (North), DIG Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), DIG Special Branch, DG Levies, and officials from the Home and Tribal Affairs Department and other law enforcement agencies.
Chief Minister Bugti briefed participants on the current law and order situation, security strategies, and implementation of the Provincial Action Plan. The meeting closely examined the hurdles impeding the execution of the action plan and explored viable solutions to overcome them.
Bugti emphasised that this is not just a war for security forces but a national battle that demands unity and commitment from all citizens. “Operations against subversive and terrorist elements have been intensified.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi echoed these sentiments during the meeting. He warned that the fate of “Fitna-e-Hindustan” terrorists would be nothing short of a painful end. “Indian-sponsored terrorists and their facilitators have no place to hide in Pakistan. They will be pursued and eliminated wherever they are,” he said.
Naqvi reaffirmed the federal government’s full support for Balochistan in its fight against terrorism. “Those challenging the writ of the state will be dealt with an iron hand,” he added. “The ground has been narrowed for anti-state elements, and there is full alignment between the federal and provincial governments in counterterrorism efforts.”
Earlier in the day, Interior Minister Naqvi arrived at the Chief Minister’s House, where he was received by CM Bugti. During their meeting, both leaders reviewed law enforcement efforts and paid tribute to the sacrifices of martyrs, offering prayers for the fallen.
“The enemy’s nefarious designs will be thwarted through national unity and resolve,” said CM Bugti. “The entire nation stands behind our armed forces in this just cause.”
