Solo painting show
LAHORE:An Exclusive Painting’s Show by M Javed was held here in a private gallery. He showcased his paintings, charcoal artworks and calligraphy art. There was a selected gathering comprising art enthusiasts, painters and writers, who were seen appreciating the artworks.
M Javed, known as the pioneer and most senior visual artist, belongs to very first batch of Fine Arts Department, NCA passed out in 1962. Since his graduation he has contributed a lot in the field of Fine Arts. He created his own idiom based on modern ideology and not only painted cities heritage, but delineated socio-economic, cultural and political issues. Due to his remarkable and outstanding performance he was honoured with President’s Award for Pride of Performance in 2022, investiture ceremony of which was held in 2023. In 1989, he also received First Annual Distinguished Artist Award from MIT- USA where he remained scholar.
