15 die on road in 24 hours
LAHORE:Around 15 people died, whereas 1,551 were injured in 1,302 road accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Out of these, 666 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 885 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
Woman hit to death
A 55-year-old unidentified woman was killed after being hit by a speeding truck while crossing a road in the Hanjarwal area near the motorway. According to Edhi Foundation spokesperson, the accident occurred when the elderly woman was crossing the road and came under the wheels of the fast-moving vehicle. She died on the spot. Upon receiving information about the incident, police rushed to the scene, arrested the driver and shifter the body to morgue.
