Four killed in Kurram mortar shell hit
Police have started an investigation, while local residents staged a strong protest against incident

PARACHINAR: Four persons were killed when a mortar shell hit Tor Ghar area in central part of Kurram tribal district.A mortar shell fired from an unknown direction exploded, killing four persons named Hamid, Riaz, Ayaz, and Irfan.
Police have started an investigation, while local residents staged a strong protest against the incident. The local residents asked the government to determine how the shell came to fall there. Police said the inquiry was under way, but the cause of the strike was yet to be established. Meanwhile, a vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a deep ravine in Kot Miran area, leaving one person dead and injuring two others. The injured were taken to Sadda Hospital.
