26,581 appear in UET ECAT Phase-II
LAHORE:A total of 26,581 candidates appeared in Phase-II of ECAT 2025, the entrance test, being conducted by the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore.
Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Shahid Munir visited multiple examination centres to review the test arrangements and expressed satisfaction with the overall conduct of the test. The ECAT Phase-II began on June 13 and will continue until June 17, 2025. Earlier, 15,460 candidates had appeared in Phase-I of the test. Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor appreciated the growing number of applicants and termed it a sign of trust from students and parents in UET’s academic excellence.
He highlighted the availability of state-of-the-art laboratories, modern classrooms, and quality hostel facilities at UET. He further announced that 2,500 new seats have been added to accommodate more students in the upcoming academic session.
ECAT result will be announced on June 25, 2025. Online registration for undergraduate admissions at UET Lahore and its constituent campuses is already underway. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the UET admission portal: admission.uet.edu.pk.
The deadline for online submission of admission forms is July 11, 2025. The first merit list will be published on July 18, followed by the second on August 1, third on August 15, and fourth on August 22. Applications for downgrading will be received from August 29 to 31, with the respective merit list to be released on September 1.
The final merit list will be announced on September 26. Submission of walk-in applications will be open from September 29 to October 1, and hostel allotment will commence on September 7. Regular classes for the new academic year will begin from September 8, 2025. All information regarding the admission process is available on the UET Admission Portal: admission.uet.edu.pk.
