BankIslami wins Best Campaign Award
KARACHI: BankIslami Pakistan Ltd won the Jury Award for Best Campaign at the 2025 Pakistan Digital Awards, recognising its national initiative ‘Saving Humanity from Riba’ aimed at raising awareness of interest-free Islamic banking.
The campaign, which combined digital and traditional media, was noted for its bold messaging and strategic clarity in promoting ethical, Sharia-compliant finance. BankIslami said the campaign was part of its broader push to make Islamic banking more inclusive and accessible across Pakistan.
“What may appear as just another marketing campaign to others was the beginning of a movement for BankIslami,” said Head of Marketing and Strategy Hasan Saeed Akbar. “Our ambition was to promote ethical finance across Pakistan and move closer to a system free from the injustice of riba.”
The award follows recent international recognition for BankIslami, which was named Pakistan’s Best Islamic Bank by Euromoney. The bank continues to expand its outreach through technology-led initiatives, new Sharia-compliant products, and grassroots partnerships aimed at boosting financial literacy.
