IJT asks govt to provide education facilities to Khyber youth
BARA: The Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday asked the government to provide education facilities to the youth of Khyber tribal district.
Speaking at a press conference, IJT KP nazim Asfandyar Ezzat said that the education ratio in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa particularly in the tribal districts was alarmingly low and a great number of children were out of schools. He asked the local public representatives to help boost literacy rate in Khyber district by providing educational facilities to the youth of Khyber district.
“The Khyber district has been linked to the Fata University instead of University of Peshawar, “he said, adding before the merger, the students of Khyber district had an affiliation with quality educational institutions. He maintained that the education system was still stuck in the old traditional method where there was no innovation and reforms.
“If the representatives want a better future for their children, they must take practical steps for this purpose,” Asfandyar Ezzat said.He said that those who sought votes in the name of change, cannot provide relief to the people.
He added that the activists of IJT would tour Bara to raise awareness among the local people about the importance of education and make the local elected representatives shoulder their responsibilities.Asfandyar stated that the IJT had always strived for peace and the rights of students by organizing peaceful rallies.
