IGP AJK Abdul Jabbar confirms families of martyrs would receive Rs10 million each
MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Ch Anwarul Haq has announced financial assistance to the families of martyrs and police personnel injured in a recent operation against terrorists in Rawalakot.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, IGP AJK Abdul Jabbar confirmed that the families of martyrs would receive Rs10 million each, while seriously-injured personnel would get Rs2 million each and the slightly-injured Rs1 million each.
Responding to a question, the IGP said seven people who facilitated terrorists have been arrested. The terrorists were linked to Fitna al-Khwarij, a network led by Dr Rauf based in Afghanistan. He said there were reports of two suicide bombers planning to carry out attacks in the next two to four days, but timely action by police foiled their plans.
