LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced plans to upgrade LCCA Ground Lahore into a state-of-the-art cricket center, enhancing its facilities to match international standards.

With this transformation, LCCA will exclusively host international matches, Pakistan Super League (PSL) fixtures, first-class and grade-II matches, and regional tournaments, solidifying its status as a premier cricket venue in Lahore.

As part of the overhaul, PCB and Lahore Regional Cricket Association (LRCA) academies will operate from LCCA, offering specialized training camps ranging from age-group levels to first-class and national levels.

The pavilion will also undergo significant upgrades, ensuring top-tier infrastructure for players and spectators alike. Following these developments, LCCA Ground will become the second major cricket center in Lahore, alongside Gaddafi Stadium, providing teams with cutting-edge international facilities.

Clubs currently practicing at LCCA Ground will be provided alternative venues for net practice, with each club receiving two wickets—one turf and one cement wicket.

The Pakistan Cricket Board will cover all expenses to ensure uninterrupted practice sessions at the alternate facility. To address logistical concerns, a meeting was held at the PCB with Director Domestic Cricket Abdullah Khurram Niazi,

LRCA President Khawaja Nadeem Ahmed, and the presidents of LCCA-affiliated clubs. Officials assured clubs that the PCB would swiftly arrange alternate venues, ensuring continuity in training programmes.
