IGP alerts police against challenges after ceasefire

LAHORE:IG Police Punjab Dr Usman Anwar said that a defeated enemy may attempt to harm national security through acts of terrorism.
Directing the police force to remain on high alert, he noted that in the context of ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India, there is a possibility of increased challenges and threats for Punjab Police. The enemy may attempt to target sensitive locations, Chinese and other foreign nationals, development projects, and police check posts in border areas. He made these remarks while addressing a ceremony held at the Central Police Office to distribute awards among outstanding officers and personnel. Dr Usman Anwar presented awards to 23 officers and personnel from DG Khan, Sargodha, and Traffic Police Multan.
