MANSEHRA: Chairman of the District Development Advisory Committee Torghar, Laiq Mohammad Khan, has announced that the long-awaited Darband-Thakot road project will be completed with an allocation of Rs750 million.
“The government has earmarked funds for the blacktopping of the Darband-Thakot road, which will connect Torghar with the Karakoram Highway and Hazara Expressway,” he told reporters in Oghi on Monday.
He hoped the road would bring transformative changes to the lives of residents.“This is a mega development project that will resolve longstanding transportation issues and place the district on the path to progress and prosperity,” he added.
Laiq Mohammad Khan said that the road will link Mansehra with Torghar and further connect to the Battagram district, boosting regional connectivity. “We are aiming to promote tourism in the district, and this road will play a key role in that effort while also generating employment opportunities for locals,” he said.
