Martyred PAF technician laid to rest
TAKHTBHAI: Radar technician of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Muhammad Ayaz, who had embraced martyrdom during an Indian attack on Sargodha Airbase, was laid to rest with state honours in his native Ganjai Killay in Takhtbhai on Sunday.
Earlier, funeral prayer of the martyr personnel was offered in his village, which was attended by high-ranking Pakistan Air Force officials including AVM Shehryar Afridi, GP Captain Humayun, Wing Commander Iftikhar, Major Amir, Major Farman, provincial Minister for Food Zahir Shah Toru, Health Advisor Ihtisham Ali, Member National Assembly Ali Mohammad Khan, Deputy Commissioner Mardan Dr Azmatullah Wazir, Member Provincial Assembly Iftikhar Ali Mashwani, Assistant Commissioner Junaid Khalid other district officials, local dignitaries, the martyr’s family, and a large number of people.
Minister Zahir Shah Toru on behalf of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur placed a floral wreath on the martyr’s grave of martyr while DC Azmatullah Wazir laid a floral wreath on behalf of KP Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah. A salute was presented to the martyr by the armed forces, and the participants raised slogans “Shaheed Zinda Hain”.The speakers said the nation would forever remember the supreme sacrifice of Shaheed Muhammad Ayaz.
