He was till recent working as Political Secretary to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The notification pertaining to the elevation has been issued by the Cabinet Division and Dr Kirmani has assumed new assignment in the Prime Minister Office (PMO) here on Tuesday.
Dr Kirmani has been associated with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif since 2008 and looking after his political matters in various capacities. He acted as chief coordinator on behalf of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in legislative assembly elections of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) held early this month and produced remarkable results for the party.
