PESHAWAR: Blood feuds continued to claim lives in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as six persons were killed when armed rivals opened fire on a car near Jamil Chowk on Ring Road while four people were wounded in another attack on Charsadda Road on Saturday.
Police officials said armed men opened fire on a car near Jamil Chowk on Ring Road that killed six people in the vehicle. The victims included Badam Gul, Tahir, Waqas, Awais and Usama. One person, Saqib, sustained bullet injuries and was shifted to hospital. Sources said that Saqib also succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The victims were on their way back home after attending a wedding party when they came under attack. Police officials said the motive seems to be some old blood dispute.

Contingents of police also arrived at the Lady Reading Hospital where a large number of relatives and villagers had gathered after the incident. In another firing incident, four people identified as Gul Zeb, Shahzeb, Javed and cab driver Fazal Malik were wounded when rivals opened fire on them on Charsadda Road.
