18 cops honoured

LAHORE : A ceremony was held at the Central Police Office in honour of officers and personnel who demonstrated exceptional performance.

During the event, 18 police teams from Khushab and Sargodha were awarded commendation certificates and cash prizes. Punjab Police spokesperson said that a total of 45 officers and personnel were encouraged through cash rewards and commendation certificates.

Among the awardees were eight Inspectors, nine Sub-Inspectors, three ASIs, three Head Constables, 21 Constables, and one Lady Constable, all of whom were presented with certificates of appreciation and cash prizes.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the police teams successfully brought to justice the criminals involved in murder, attempted murder, rape, and other serious crimes.

The bravery and courage displayed by the police teams in taking action against dangerous criminals is commendable.

He further said that the process of recognising the outstanding performance of officers and personnel will continue. All available resources will be utilized for the eradication of crime and the easy provision of justice to the public.

The ceremony was also attended by Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Headquarters Dr M Abid Khan, AIG Discipline, and AIG Welfare Abdul Rahim Sherazi, along with other officers.
