23 cops awarded prizes, certificates

LAHORE:A dignified ceremony was held at the Central Police Office in honour of officers and personnel with outstanding performance. Inspector General of Police (IGP), Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar awarded the cops from Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Gujranwala, and Toba Tek Singh.

DSP Mumtaz Ahmad Mekan and his 4-member team were awarded commendation certificates and cash prizes for arresting a double murder convict in an hour. Meanwhile, DSP Tariq Mehmood Dogar and his 6-member team were given commendation certificates and cash rewards for arresting a 4-member dacoit gang and recovering stolen goods worth Rs 24.4 million.
