Two UK-Pakistani organisations win global award
LONDON: In the recently held Global Good Governance (3G) Awards in Istanbul at Global Donors Forum 2016, to everyone’s surprise, two British Pakistani organisations won international acclaim for their ground-breaking work.
World Congress of Overseas Pakistan, a social enterprise making significant gains in harnessing the potential of the 7th largest Diaspora in the world, won the 3G Diversity Award in the Social Sector and Philanthropy for its achievements in promoting integration, coexistence and building bridges across the communities. London-based Addison and Khan Solicitors won the Critic’s Choice 3G Award for Excellence in Legal Practice for services to international clients in the UK and the rest of the world.
The UK-based Cambridge IF Analytica held the inaugural 3G Awards to highlight examples of best practices in good governance in government and politics, corporate sector, and social sector and philanthropy.In the 3G Awards, about 15 countries were represented. Global Good Governance Awards “3G Awards” are based on a proprietary methodology “3G Methodology. From the four nominations in each category, the winner will be selected by a global poll based on Transparency , Social Responsibility, Sustainability , Impact & Innovation.

DatinPaduka Seri Rismah Mansor, the first lady of Malaysia and Ambassador of Malaysia in Turkey Dato’ Amran Mohamed Zin conferred the Award on World Congress of Overseas Pakistanis (WCOP) and Addison & Khan Solicitors.
Former US President Jimmy Carter , President Jorge Fernando Branco de Sampaio, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, US Secretary of State John Kerry, Prince El Hassan Bin Talal, Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz, Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Al-Thani, Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan , Princess Banderi Abdul Rahman Al Faisal, Princess Maha bint Abdul Aziz, Dr. Yusuf Al-Qardawi and many other global dignitaries have attended and spoken at Global Donors Forum in the previous years.
