Islamabad:Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Syed Imran Ahmed Shah visited the Stitching Centre and CPU (Central Processing Unit) of Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal at F-9 Park here and reviewed the ongoing initiatives aimed at empowering women economically.

"It's essential not only to equip women with skills but also to ensure practical employment opportunities for them," he said. The minister ordered the formulation of a strategy for collaboration with the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) to link trained women with relevant job opportunities.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to take all possible measures to enhance women's economic inclusion. Director Muhammad Zaheer briefed the minister on the facilities being provided, including accommodation, meals, clothing, medical care, legal assistance, and counselling services. Currently, 35 elderly individuals are residing in the facility.

The minister said that such centres are a practical manifestation of social responsibility, and the government was keen to expand their outreach to other regions. He also directed the Director of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Lahore to prioritise medical assistance cases, saying the provision of healthcare facilities to the public is a top priority of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety.
