PPP striving hard to safeguard rights of workers, says Ghani
Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani has said the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has been doing its best to safeguard the rights of workers and labourers as per its manifesto.
Ghani, who is also the Karachi division president of the PPP, stated this on Wednesday during his meeting with a delegation of the Peoples Labour Bureau Karachi led by is president Habibuddin Junaidi.
The meeting considered affairs related to welfare of the labourers in Sindh and issues related to the KWSC, Karachi Dock Labour Board, KMC, TMCs, Workers' Welfare Board, Sessi, PQA, Pakistan Steel, KDA and KPT.
Ghani told the delegation that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto founded the PPP primarily to ensure the welfare and protection of the rights of labourers and workers. He added that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had been acting upon the pro-workers manifesto of the party.
