IFT Fight Pass highlights MMA popularity, growth in Pakistan

LAHORE: The Pakistan Mixed Martial Arts Federation (PMMAF) successfully hosted the IFT Fight Pass event at SA Gardens in Lahore, bringing together over 150 fighters from across the country to showcase their skills and determination.

The event highlighted the growing popularity and development of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in Pakistan. The event featured grappling competitions in which Kamran Jutt emerged as the champion, demonstrating exceptional skill and technique. Athletes vied for recognition in high-energy matchups, reflecting the evolving standards of MMA in the nation.

Chairman Shoaib Afzal Malik, President Babar Raja, and Director Hassan Sadiq attended the event as special guests, showing their support and commitment to the development of the sport. Malik emphasized the importance of such events, stating that the goal is to elevate the standard of Pakistani fighters.

“Competitions will now be held every month in Lahore, giving fighters regular opportunities to hone their skills and progress,” he added. The winning athletes were awarded cash prizes, medals, and shields in recognition of their hard work and achievements. The initiative not only celebrated the talent of participating fighters but also encouraged growth and learning within the MMA community.

PMMAF President Babar Raja highlighted the Federation’s long-term objective to prepare Pakistani fighters for international-level competitions, ensuring that they represent the country proudly on the global stage.
