The recent killing of eight Pakistani workers in Iran by militants is indicative of a serious problem in the region. These terrorist outfits are most active in the border areas of Pakistan and Iran, especially in Balochistan. Pakistan and Iran must work more closely to stop these attacks. They need to share information, improve border security and take action against violent groups together. But force is not enough. Providing the people of the most terror-affected areas with more opportunities is also crucial.
