PO killed in Swabi encounter

SWABI: A proclaimed offender was killed in an encounter soon in the wee hours of Friday, police officials said.They said that the encounter took place at the edge of Indus River in Rana Dheri and the accused was identified as Shahab Khan belonged to Dodher village, Chota Lahor tehsil, allegedly wanted to district police in 12 cases.

SHO Zaida Police Station Asif Ali said that the accused was wanted by police in cases of murder, extortion and other serious issues.“The police cordoned off the area and asked the accused to surrender but he opened fire on the police party and tried to escape. The police personnel retaliated and the outlaw was killed in the exchange of fire,” he added.
