ISLAMABAD: Noor Zaman toppled top seed and world No 55 Rory Stewart (SCO) to win the Liverpool Cricket Club Open Squash Championship 2025.
Noor (world No 81), who has struggled in recent times, gave a big boost to his ranking by beating Stewart 3-0 (11-9, 12-10, 11-8).
Noor’s ranking has seen a sharp decline recently, as only last week, he dropped seven places. With the title win, Noor is expected to gain considerably on the PSA ranking ladder. In the semis, Noor defeated unseeded Toufik Mekhalfi 11-6, 9-11, 11-5, 11-9.
Noor’s next target will be the upcoming WSF World under-23 Championship scheduled in Karachi from 6th to 10th April.
