Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori conferred civil awards upon 12 distinguished individuals from various fields at a ceremony held at the Governor House on Sunday.
The event was conducted by Sindh Chief Secretary Syed Asif Hyder Shah, and it was attended by consuls general from Italy, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Oman, Malaysia, Russia, Qatar, the UAE, Bangladesh, Vietnam and Iran, along with provincial secretaries and prominent figures from different sectors.
Governor Tessori awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz to Aga Khan University President Dr Sulaiman Shahabuddin, Dawood University of Engineering & Technology Vice Chancellor Dr Samreen Hussain, Meezan Bank Chief Financial Officer Syed Imran Ali Shah, Muneeza Shamsie, Nazimuddin Feroz, Zahid Ahmed Gharib and (late) Haneen Hussain Lakhani.
The Presidential Pride of Performance Award was presented to Ambareen Haseeb Amber. Tamgha-e-Imtiaz was awarded to Maqsood Ahmed, Joseph Coutts, Rear Admiral (retd) Tanveer Ahmed and (late) Waris Panjwani. The governor acknowledged the contributions of the award recipients in their respective fields, and emphasised that their achievements serve as an inspiration for the nation.
