Elimination of gender-based crimes top priority
LAHORE:DIG Operations Faisal Kamran stated that the elimination of gender-based crimes is a top priority for Lahore Police. Special Gender Crime Cells have been established to tackle such crimes, and “Tahaffuz Darsgah” has been set up to provide education for the transgender community.
The concerns of the transgender community are being addressed on a priority basis. He expressed these views during a discussion with the specially invited transgender community at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh.
SP Security Abdul Wahab and other officers were also present. Faisal Kamran listened to the concerns and recommendations of the transgender guests and provided detailed responses to their questions. The DIG Operations further announced that special driving training sessions have been arranged for the transgender community.
