JIT re-summons 16 people for social media propaganda

ISLAMABAD: The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed by the federal government on Tuesday re-summoned 16 individuals including senior leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for their alleged involvement in propaganda on social media as none of them appeared before it on Tuesday.
The JIT has re-summoned the 16 on March 21 to join investigations, sources say. The individuals summoned include Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Khalid Khurshid Khan, Aslam Iqbal and Hammad Azhar. Others who received notices include Aun Abbas, Shehbaz Shabbir, Waqas Akram and Taimur Saleem Khan. Similarly, Sibghatullah Warak, Azhar Mashwani, Nauman Afzal, Jibran Ilyas, Salman Raza, Zulfi Bukhari, Moosa Warak and Ali Malik have also been issued summons.
Earlier, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, Rauf Hassan and Shah Farman had appeared before the JIT.
On March 14, Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan did not comply with the summons. She has now been re-summoned for March 19.
