LAHORE: Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party President and Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has said there is no doubt that if the Pakistan Army did not exist, the country would not survive for even a single day.
He condemned the practice of insulting those defending the nation, stressing that this is not a service to the country. “Politics is secondary to the nation. If Pakistan exists, we all exist and negative forces will be eradicated at any cost.”
He made these remarks at the inauguration of the Kot Pindi Das Interchange on Motorway M-2 near Sheikhupura on Saturday. He pointed out that sacrificing one’s spouse, child, father, and loved one was not easy while it was much easier to use foul language on social media. He challenged those who indulge in ugly behaviour towards those going to the borders and offering their lives. He said a new era of development was beginning, questioning what the opposition did in their four years. He assured that the nefarious designs of the enemy would be thwarted and those responsible for tragic incidents like the Jaffar Express would be brought to justice.
He highlighted the significance of the Kot Pindi Das Interchange project for the residents and commercial users of Sheikhupura District. He said he was bringing fundamental changes within the department working to eliminate corruption, inefficiency and laziness, ensuring rapid completion of delayed projects.
Federal Minister for Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain expressed his gratitude for the swift completion of the interchange. He praised Aleem for his efforts which resulted in the timely completion of the project.
Earlier, Chairman NHA Shehryar Sultan briefed the ministers and mentioned that the interchange included an administration building, solar streetlights, fencing, and 710 meters of stone patching. He said the interchange was now fully operational from both sides of the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway.
