Lawyer Liaquat Phulpoto’s bullet-riddled body found in his house
District Bar Association Khairpur suspended court proceedings and demanded arrest of culprits
SUKKUR: Police recovered the bullet-riddled body of senior lawyer Liaquat Phulpoto in his house in Saida Goth, Khairpur.
Liaquat Phulpoto served as deputy district attorney in Gambat.
DSP City Khairpur Faraz Ahmed Maitlo said that investigation into the incident has been started, and the body has been sent to Civil Hospital for an autopsy. The incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Khairpur-A-Section Police Station.
Meanwhile District Bar Association Khairpur suspended the court proceedings and demanded the arrest of culprits.
Advocate Tahir Imtiaz Phulpoto, Advocate Manzoor Hussain Larik, Advocate Tarriq Mahaisar said that some time back his elder brother Prof Dr. Lutuf Ali Phulpoto was killed. They demanded proper investigation into the lawyer’s murder.
