LGH Emergency gets CSSD

LAHORE:In order to further enhance the provision of quality healthcare services to patients, the Lahore General Hospital has established a Central Sterilisation Services Department (CSSD) in emergency department.

This department is equipped with state-of-the-art autoclave machines to ensure the round the clock sterilisation of surgical and medical instruments thereby protecting patients from germs, viruses, fungi, bacteria, and other microorganisms.

The CSSD uses various advanced sterilisation methods, including autoclaving, chemical and gamma radiation, dry heat and ultraviolet light sterilisation. These measures will help to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Ameer Uddin Medical College Principal Prof Dr Al-Fareed Zafar spoke during the CSSD inauguration.
