PSW, Maqta Technologies partner to boost digital trade facilitation
KARACHI: Pakistan Single Window (PSW), the designated operator of the Pakistan Single Window System, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Maqta Technologies, the digital arm of AD Ports Group, to enhance international trade through innovative digital solutions.
PSW, a state-owned entity, is responsible for the development, implementation and operation of the Pakistan Single Window System, a digital platform that streamlines cross-border trade by enabling traders to submit import, export and transit-related data through a unified portal. Maqta Technologies is a key enabler of integrated trade, transport and logistics solutions, contributing to the digital transformation of global trade.
According to a PSW statement on Thursday, the collaboration aims to drive digital innovation and improve efficiency in cross-border trade by leveraging both organisations’ expertise in developing and implementing cutting-edge digital solutions.
The partnership will also introduce value-added services, including digital customs clearance, smart warehousing, risk management systems, eCommerce solutions, cargo and port community systems, Single Window trade facilitation, trade finance and predictive analytics for trade optimisation and risk management.
By integrating advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain and the Internet of Things (IoT), the collaboration seeks to streamline trade processes, reduce delays and enhance transparency and regulatory compliance.
Under the agreement, PSW and Maqta Technologies will work to identify and develop joint commercial opportunities in digital trade facilitation and logistics worldwide. The initiative aims to strengthen compliance, secure trade transactions, and promote environmentally sustainable trade practices through paperless documentation and carbon-efficient logistics.
