PESHAWAR: Two new cases of Mpox have been confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, bringing the total number of cases in the province to five this year, health officials said on Thursday.
According to the Health Department officials, the latest cases include a 42-year-old man and a 20-year-old youth, both residents of Peshawar. Officials confirmed that the younger patient contracted the infection locally, while the older patient had a history of travel from Saudi Arabia last year.

So far, no symptoms have been reported among their household members. The officials urged the public to take necessary precautions, seek medical attention if symptoms arise, and avoid close contact to prevent further spread of the virus.
