ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister of Pakistan has appointed Tariq Bajwa as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister with the rank of minister of state. He will look after matters of coordination with the office of deputy prime minister/minister for foreign affairs. The appointment will be effective immediately.
The government’s move is aimed at further improving foreign affairs and ensuring coordinated policymaking in important government affairs.
Tariq Bajwa has served as State Bank of Pakistan governor, FBR chairman and Finance and Economic Affairs secretary.
