Political, social figures pay tribute to Shaheed Maulana Hamidul Haq
NOWSHERA: The condolence meetings for Shaheed Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani continued on the sixth day on Wednesday, with numerous political and social figures visiting Darul Uloom Haqqania to pay their respects to the Haqqani family.
Among the notable visitors were Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, who lauded the services of the late Maulana and vowed to bring those responsible for his assassination to justice.
A high-level delegation from the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), led by the party’s Central General Secretary Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, also arrived at the seminary. The delegation included PPP Central Punjab President Qamar Zaman Kaira, former federal minister Sajid Hussain Turi, and former Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Murtaza Satti. They extended their condolences on behalf of their party.
Leaders from various political and religious factions also visited the seminary, including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central leader MNA Ali Muhammad Khan, Pakistan Muslim League-N (PMLN) Senator Irfan Siddiqui, former Deputy Army Chief General Ehsan-ul-Haq, former Major General Farrukh Bashir, and former provincial minister Mian Nisar Gul Kakakhel.
Additionally, a delegation from Markazi Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith, led by Maulana Atiq-ur-Rehman Shah, visited to offer condolences. Former MNA Malik Aurangzeb Khan, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (S) Balochistan Amir Maulana Mufti Abdul Wahid Bazai, along with his delegation, and various other religious figures such as Maulana Tahir Shah also expressed their sympathies.
From Hyderabad, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam’s Hafiz Arman Ahmed Chauhan and from Karak, Hafiz Eid Muhammad visited to pay their respects to Maulana Abdul Haq Thani and the Haqqani family. Meanwhile, Afghan political figures also extended condolences, with Maulana Muti-ul-Haq, son of former Afghan leader Maulana Yunus Khalis and a current member of the Afghan cabinet, offering his sympathies via telephone. Afghan Minister of Hajj, Maulana Noor Muhammad Saqib, also conveyed his condolences through a phone call.
Hundreds of dignitaries gathered at Darul Uloom Haqqania to honor the martyrdom of Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani, acknowledging his political, social, scholarly, and religious contributions. They expressed solidarity with the bereaved family, including Sheikhul Hadith Maulana Anwarul Haq, Deputy Administrator Maulana Rashidul Haq, successor Maulana Abdul Haq Thani, and other family members.
During the condolence meeting, PPP leaders Qamar Zaman Kaira and Nayyar Hussain Bukhari said that the tragic attack on Darul Uloom Haqqania should be condemned at all levels. They pointed out the deteriorating law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and stressed the need for all stakeholders to unite, setting aside political and ideological differences to restore peace in the province.
