RAWLPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Barrister Salman Akram Raja Tuesday said PTI founder Imran Khan had given some instructions about the JUIF chief Fazlur Rehman, which he will convey.

Speaking to the media outside the Central Jail after meeting Imran Khan, Salman said discussions were held on the opposition alliance, but he would not disclose all the details. He emphasized that they respected Fazlur Rehman and wanted him to join the alliance.

He also addressed rumors about Imran Khan’s health, stating that many false reports were spread but Khan was in good health after a routine check-up. Furthermore, he refuted claims that Khan was being deprived of Suhoor (pre-dawn meal for fasting) or restricted from performing religious activities.

Regarding a controversial statement by Barrister Saif, Salman said Sheikh Waqas Akram had been asked to question him about such remarks.

He confirmed that Khan had no complaints about the party, and discussions were held regarding the future strategies. Khan has not met his political allies for the past five months, and instructions have been given in this regard.

Regarding the legal matters, Chaudhry Zaheer Abbas has been appointed as the legal representative for both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. Faisal Chaudhry has been directed to transfer all petitions to Chaudhry Zaheer Abbas.

Salman Akram Raja criticized some individuals for using legal representation to gain political influence and insisted that those given responsibilities by Khan should focus on politics.

Additionally, Niazullah Niazi has been appointed as the PTI founder’s spokesperson, while Bushra Bibi has appointed four focal persons for her legal and political matters.

Meanwhile, the family members and lawyers visited Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi at the Adiala jail. According to jail sources, Aleema Khan, Dr. Uzma Khan, Noreen Khanum and Qasim Khan (Imran Khan’s cousin), met Imran and Bushra. The meeting lasted approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

Later, party lawyers, including Barrister Salman Safdar, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Barrister Ali Zafar, Naeem Haider Panjotha, Mubashir Maqsood Awan, Khalid Yousaf, Faisal Chaudhry, Rai Salman Kharal and Tabish Farooq Advocate met Imran and Bushra Bibi for approximately half an hour. Speaking to the media outside the Adiala jail, Aleema Khan denied rumors about Imran Khan suffering from an ear infection or any other illness.

She said it was her first meeting with him after a week. She revealed that all of Khan’s court hearings had been postponed and that she had also met Bushra Bibi.

She described Imran Khan as healthy and in good spirits, dismissing rumors spread by the social media operatives working as the establishment’s informants. She questioned their sources of information and denied claims of Khan suffering from a brain infection. However, she criticized the authorities for not allowing Khan’s personal doctor to meet him and restricting his communication with his children.

Aleema also confirmed that Barrister Salman Akram Raja had been assigned to oversee Khan’s personal petitions. Regarding the Al-Qadir Trust case, she said a verdict could be reached within a week. Furthermore, she alleged that a specific judge (Dogar) had been deliberately assigned to delay the Al-Qadir Trust appeal, claiming it was part of a pressure tactic against Imran Khan. However, Khan has vowed not to strike any deal despite the pressure.

Aleema also shared that Imran Khan opposed renaming Arbab Niaz Stadium after him and insisted that its original name be restored.
