Afghan envoy condoles with Haqqani family
NOWSHERA: Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Sardar Ahmad Shakeeb said on Tuesday that the government and people of his country were equally saddened by the suicide attack on Darul Uloom Haqqania and martyrdom of Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani and others.
“Darul Uloom Haqqania holds the status of a mother institution for the entire Islamic world,” he said after offering condolences to the Haqqani family.Afghan Ambassador Sardar Ahmad Shakeeb was accompanied by Afghanistan’s Consul General in Peshawar Hafiz Mohibullah Shakari and other officials.
He said that upon hearing about the suicide attack on Darul Uloom Haqqania’s deputy administrator and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami chief Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani, he specially came to convey condolences on behalf of the Amir-ul-Momineen, the prime minister of Afghanistan, and the federal ministers of the Afghan government.
He said that the grief of Darul Uloom Haqqania was the grief of all Muslims in the Islamic world. He said that while people in Pakistan were deeply saddened by the martyrdom of Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani, their own hearts were even more wounded, and scholars as well as the living Muslims of Afghanistan were equally grieved by his martyrdom. He prayed for his forgiveness.
Earlier, the delegation expressed their condolences to the Haqqani family, including Maulana Hamidul Haq’s brother, deputy administrator Maulana Rashidul Haq, and his son and political successor Maulana Abdul Haq Sani.
Later, Sardar Ahmad Shakeeb visited the grave of Maulana Hamidul Haq and Maulana Samiul Haq and Darul Uloom’s founder Maulana Abdul Haq and offered fatiha for the departed souls.Afterward, the Afghan Ambassador, Sardar Ahmad Shakeeb, held a closed-door meeting with the Haqqani family members, including Maulana Rashidul Haq and Maulana Abdul Haq Sani.He also had a separate meeting with the administrator of Darul Uloom Haqqania, Maulana Anwarul Haq.
