Police refute reports circulating on social media
Islamabad:The police spokesman, however, issued a clarification, claiming, “A misleading and factually incorrect report about a boy named Salman has been circulating on social media. The claim is entirely false and has no connection to reality.
Salman was 18-19 years old and a member of a dangerous robbery gang involved in multiple criminal activities along with his accomplices. A few days ago, the gang carried out a robbery during which they shot and killed a man named Shah Faisal Khan, who had travelled from Swabi to Rawalpindi with his wife to inspect a house. Salman was killed yesterday during an exchange of gunfire with the police, but investigations have confirmed that he was actually shot by his own accomplices during the confrontation. Another Afghan accomplice, Khalil, was also killed in the shootout. Upon searching the suspects, authorities recovered the motorcycle stolen from the slain Shah Faisal during the robbery.”
