Two JUIF leaders gunned down
QUETTA: Some unknown armed men gunned down two leaders of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUIF) in Zehri area of Khuzdar district of Balochistan province late on Saturday evening.
Officials said that JUIF leaders Wadera Ghulam Sarwar and Molvi Aman Ullah were going together in Tarsani area of Zehri Tehsil when the armed men on motorcycles opened fire on them with automatic weapons.
As a result both JUIF leaders received multiple bullet injuries causing their death on spot. A security guard of the leader also received bullet injuries. Levies rushed to the site after receiving information and shifted the bodies and injured to Zehri hospital. The killers fled the site.
Levies described the incident as a target killing and started investigation. The bodies were handed over to the respective families after completing medico-legal formalities.
No one has so far has claimed responsibility for the killings. JUIF central spokesperson Aslam Ghori condemned the killings and demanded immediate arrest of persons involved.
