ASI killed by lawyers in Mozang

LAHORE:An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) was martyred after being attacked by a group of lawyers in the Mozang area on Tuesday. According to police sources, ASI M Shahid, who was posted at the Shad Bagh Police Station, had arrested an accused, Adeel, outside the FIA Court. However, as the police party attempted to take the suspect into custody, a group of lawyers launched an attack to free him.

The assailants, along with the accused, physically assaulted the ASI before successfully escaping with Adeel. The injured officer succumbed to his injuries, and his body was shifted to the morgue. Meanwhile, forensic experts have collected evidence from the crime scene. Police vowed to take strict action against those involved in the attack.
