LAHORE:The Forum for Digital Rights and Democracy (FDRD) has condemned threats hurled at senior journalist and co-chairperson of HRCP, Ms Munizae Jahangir.
According to a press release here Thursday, FDRD stated that these threats not only target press freedom, but also the constitutionally protected individual right to freedom of expression. The forum stated that it believed that the safety of journalists is not just an individual concern but a broader issue of protecting democratic values, human rights, and the public right to information. The forum demanded the authorities take effective action to investigate these threats and hold those responsible accountable.
