LAHORE:The University of Management and Technology (UMT) hosted its 2nd two-day International Conference on Sociology under the School of Social Sciences and Humanities.
According to a press release, the theme of the conference was "Social Conflicts and Pathways to Resolution". Over 90 research papers were presented in the conference, shedding light on various social issues and their potential solutions. Prominent speakers, included Dr. Yasra Waqar, Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities; Ms. Nosheen Adnan, Parliamentary Secretary for the Government of Punjab, Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi, Provost of UMT, Dr. Sarosh Iqbal, Chairperson of the Department of Sociology, Kashif Manzoor, DG Punjab Public Libraries, Dr. Rubina Zakir and Dr. Zakria Zakar, Vice Chancellor of the University of Poonch. A large number of researchers, students, scholars and professionals from diverse fields attended the event.
