Sindh Home, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar on Monday condemned the attack on former MPA Mir Ghalib Domki, and said the district police have been ordered to conduct an impartial and transparent investigation into the incident.

Speaking to the media outside the provincial assembly, Lanjar said that evil elements have no religion or identity but are present everywhere in some form or guise. He said a dacoit involved in the attack has been killed. This is not a tribal dispute, and no one can be allowed to create such an impression, he added. He also said Mir Abid Jatoi went to meet Domki, visiting him immediately after the incident.

The minister said police are taking all possible steps to arrest the robbers involved in the incident, and they will be in police custody soon. He said the government is moving forward with its clear policy and strategy about law and order, and the reason for this is the zero-tolerance policy as regards implementing measures like peace and order.

He stressed that the government never compromises on measures like peace and order, while miscreants have completely failed to put continuous pressure on the government. Lanjar said that a joint operation of police and Rangers is under way in the Kutcha area, adding that Operation Blockade would continue without any hindrance or interruption.

He admitted that there are difficulties, but clarified that there is no hindrance or pressure, which is the reason why police and Rangers have not only destroyed the hideouts of the robbers but also broken their backs, and now police would soon be successful in the Kutcha area.

He said miscreants are present everywhere, but the police would achieve success soon. He emphasised the government’s clear policy on law and order, saying that there would be no compromise on it. The minister mentioned that miscreants are trying to exert pressure but they would fail.
