Gold rates up Rs500 per tola

KARACHI: Gold prices rose by Rs500 per tola on Monday in the local market following an increase in the international market.
All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association said that gold rates reached Rs282,900 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs429 to Rs242,541. Gold rates increased by $5 to $2,708 per ounce in the international market.
Silver rates, however, decreased by Rs9 to Rs3,372 per tola. Similarly, 10-gram silver rates also decreased by Rs8 to Rs2,890. Prices in the local market are adjusted by a premium of $20 against rates in the international market.
