SUKKUR: Former PPP MPA and MNA Mir Ghalib Khan Domki, his wife, grandson and two guards were wounded in gun attack on their vehicle in Shikarpur, while two guards were killed.
Reports said that at Faizo Larro near Mirzapur Police picket of Khanpur Police Station in Shikarpur, the robbers shot straight fires on the vehicle of former PPP MPA Mir Ghalib Khan Domki when the driver did not stop the vehicle.
The former PPP MNA, along with his family members, was travelling from Sukkur to Bakhshapur. Police shifted the deceased guards to Khanpur Taluka Hospital, while the injured were shifted to Sukkur hospital. Shikarpur SSP Shahzaib Chachar confirmed the incident, saying that police sealed the exit and entrance routs to arrest the culprits.
The SSP further said that in the retaliatory firing of the guards, a most wanted criminal Nadir Mirani carrying the head money of Rs1 million was also killed. Zain-ul-Abideen, nephew of Mir Ghalib Khan Domki, said that the condition of his uncle was out of danger, while two guards were killed and two others were injured.
Mir Ghalib Khan Domki said that as many as 15 to 20 armed men attacked their vehicle, adding that they attempted to loot him.
